I saw these beautiful laser cut invitations on Design Sponge and was immediately brought back to my childhood when we learned about Chinese paper cutting. Papel Picado, which means “perforated paper”, is a Mexican art form of hand cutting elaborate designs on paper. Just like in the Chinese culture, papel picado is displayed during celebrations. Chinese paper cutting and papel picado have a very similar look and it would be especially beautiful and significant for an interracial wedding celebration!
